Blue Hexagon Announces Integration With Carbon Black To Set a New Standard for Accelerated Threat Prevention

Blue Hexagon’s real-time deep learning network threat protection platform delivers tight integration with Carbon Black to block files, stop patient zero and prevent lateral movement.

RSA CONFERENCE, SAN FRANCISCO – March 5, 2019 – Blue Hexagon, a deep learning innovator, today announced an integration with Carbon Black, a leading provider of cloud delivered next-generation endpoint security as part of the Carbon Black Integration Network (CBIN).

By combining Blue Hexagon’s real-time threat detection platform and Carbon Black’s ubiquitous endpoint enforcement capabilities, the integration aims to deliver a level of protection against malware attacks that sets a new standard for security.

“The industry sees anywhere from 300,000 to 1 million new malware variants each day–a speed and volume of attacks that is overwhelming traditional signature- and sandbox-based perimeter defenses. Blue Hexagon’s deep learning-based approach to network threat protection can prevent attacks from getting through–in less than a second. When combined with a complementary endpoint security solution like Carbon Black, a network threat can quickly be prevented on endpoints,” said Saumitra Das, Blue Hexagon CTO.

Blue Hexagon’s real-time deep learning platform is deployed at the network ingress to inspect the complete network flow for threats– payloads, headers, URLs and C2 communications. As soon as network threats are detected by Blue Hexagon (in less than a second), organizations can immediately orchestrate prevention near real-time via the integration with Carbon Black. Endpoints protected by Carbon Black will then block malicious files and protect the endpoint against the impending threat, including the exploit and execution of unknown malware.

“A robust threat prevention solution must incorporate both network and endpoint security,” said Tom Barsi, Carbon Black’s Senior Vice President of Business Development. “The Blue Hexagon real-time deep learning platform works seamlessly with Carbon Black to respond to attacks.”

The Blue Hexagon network threat detection platform, powered by deep learning, integration with Carbon Black to:

  • Enable threat detection and prevention to be orchestrated in near real-time, keeping malware out of the network and reducing dwell time.
  • Block and remove malicious files, preventing patient zero and further lateral movement, without needing to wait for files to be executed on the endpoint.
  • Deliver both network and endpoint threat insights and indicators of compromise for security analysts.
